Mingmu Di Huang Wan does not specify whether it should be taken before or after meals, and it is usually taken after meals. Mingmu Di Huang Wan is composed of ripened rhubarb, cornelian cherry, Chinese yam, mudanpi, poria, zeloda, wolfberry, angelica sinensis, white peony, chrysanthemum, tribulus terrestris and calcined stonecrop, which is effective in nourishing the kidneys, nourishing the liver and brightening the eyes. It is used for deficiency of yin in liver and kidney (deficiency of yin fluid in liver and kidney), astringency and photophobia of the eyes, blurred vision, and tears in the wind. Mingmu Di Huang Wan is contraindicated for people with outbreaks of fire eye (i.e. infectious conjunctivitis, also known as red eye), which is characterized by congestion and reddening of the whites of the eyes, photophobia, tearing, and excessive eye droppings. It is recommended that patients use medication under the guidance of a doctor, do not take medication on your own, so as not to delay the condition.
