What are the symptoms of gastric ulcers

Gastric ulcers may cause symptoms such as bloating, belching (burping), nausea, and vomiting. Bloating may occur when the gastric mucous membrane is damaged leading to a decrease in functions such as secretion of digestive juices, and food is not digested and absorbed in a timely manner after eating. Belching may occur when food accumulates in the body for a long time and produces gas. Nausea and vomiting may occur as a result of food reflux. Stomach acid is secreted after eating, and stomach acid irritating the ulcer surface may cause postprandial stomach pain, along with a burning sensation. Drinking alcohol and other stimulation of the ulcer surface, resulting in bleeding from the damaged mucosa may black stools, vomiting blood. Gastric ulcers may have other symptoms in different individuals and at different stages, and should be diagnosed in a timely manner under the guidance of a doctor based on symptoms, examinations, etc., and should not be judged on one’s own.
