The st-t change is an alteration of the st-t segment on the electrocardiogram, and when the heart rate increases, the st-t change suggests possible myocardial ischemia. Electrocardiogram is a commonly used clinical auxiliary examination, in which the electrical signals of contraction and diastole of the heart are obtained through electrodes to form a pattern. Based on the changes in the pattern formed, the site of abnormal cardiac activity or changes in the heart can be determined. EKG examination of st-t changes often suggests myocardial ischemia, often due to coronary atherosclerosis, myocardial bridges and so on. When myocardial blood supply is insufficient, the heart compensates by increasing the beating rate, so st-t changes are often accompanied by an increase in heart rate. It is important to note that persistent st-t changes accompanied by chest pain, panic and other symptoms have the potential for cardiovascular accidents such as infarction, and need to consult a doctor in a timely manner.
