What’s wrong with half your neck?

Numbness of half of the neck may be a normal physiological phenomenon, or it may be caused by cervical spondylosis, cerebral blood supply insufficiency and so on.
1. Normal physiological phenomenon: when the patient’s shoulder joints for a long time to bear weight or improper activities so that the neck muscle fatigue or even spasm, local congestion and edema, may lead to nerve ischemia and hypoxia, the patient may appear half of the neck numbness symptoms.
2. Pathological phenomenon:
(1) Cervical spondylosis: cervical spondylosis is a disease based on degenerative pathological changes in the intervertebral discs, and the patient may have the symptom of numbness in half of the neck, which may also be accompanied by dizziness, nausea and other symptoms.
(2) Insufficient cerebral blood supply: Insufficient cerebral blood supply refers to insufficient blood supply to the brain due to circulatory disorders of the cerebral arteries, and when the cervical nerves of the patient do not get good blood supply, it may cause symptoms of numbness of half of the neck.
It is recommended that when patients have symptoms of numbness in half of the neck, normal physiological phenomena should be ruled out and they should go to the hospital for medical consultation to clarify the cause of the disease and then under the guidance of the doctor for treatment.
