Decreased cerebral white matter density is usually an imaging manifestation of ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy brain CT examination, which is mainly associated with cerebral tissue edema due to cerebral tissue ischemia and hypoxia.
When brain white matter degeneration or multiple sclerosis occurs after ischemia, hypoxia, and brain tissue edema, decreased cerebral white matter density may appear on CT examination. Early treatment is needed if there are multiple cases of reduced white matter density or clinical symptoms such as limb weakness or slurred speech.
Early treatment can improve the metabolic function of the damaged brain tissue and maintain the stability of the internal environment. Long-term untreated may lead to cerebral palsy, epilepsy, ataxia and other sequelae.
It is recommended that patients go to local specialized hospitals as early as possible, and strictly control blood pressure, blood lipid and blood sugar levels in daily life.
