A woman’s thick neck may be caused by simple obesity, thyroid disease or enlarged lymph nodes in the neck.
1. Simple obesity: obesity causes excessive accumulation of subcutaneous fat in the neck, resulting in the thickening of the neck. Appropriate weight loss can be restored to normal.
2. Thyroid diseases: simple goiter, thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism and thyroid tumors and other thyroid diseases can cause the enlargement of the thyroid gland, which can lead to the thickening of women’s necks.
3. Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck: Enlarged lymph nodes in the neck can also cause limited enlargement of the neck. It is mostly caused by lymphadenitis.
If a woman has a thickened neck, it is recommended that she consult a doctor as soon as possible to determine the cause of the problem after obesity has been ruled out.
