Is it good to eat raw garlic for high blood pressure

Raw garlic has no specific benefit for hypertensive conditions; on the contrary, eating too much raw garlic may cause gastrointestinal upset.
Hypertension is a disease of the cardiovascular system, manifested by systolic blood pressure ≥140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥90 mmHg measured in the office without the use of antihypertensive drugs.
Once garlic enters the body, it is mainly broken down in the digestive system and has no effect on the cardiovascular system; therefore, raw garlic does not benefit hypertension. If raw garlic is consumed in excess, it will instead irritate the stomach and intestines and cause discomfort.
After diagnosis of hypertension, you should take blood pressure-lowering medication as prescribed by your doctor, monitor your blood pressure and review it regularly, and do not stop taking the medication at will. Diet should increase the intake of proteins such as fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low-fat or skimmed dairy products. Limit the intake of sodium and alcohol, it is recommended that sodium should not exceed 1.5 grams per day.
