How to treat lymphangioleioma in children?

Lymphangioleioma, which used to be called cystic hydatidiform tumor and cystic lymphangioleioma, is a congenital benign tumor caused by abnormal development of lymphatic vessels and lymphatic tissues, which is essentially an abnormal proliferation of endothelial cells in the walls of lymphatic vessels. It is a common disease in pediatric patients, and it usually occurs in the neck, accounting for about 75% of cases. The diagnosis of lymphangioleiomyomatosis can be confirmed by typical clinical manifestations, transillumination test and puncture examination, and also by the typical performance of enhanced CT. Although the disease is benign, it is prone to invasive growth and sometimes life-threatening rapid growth, as well as infection and intracapsular hemorrhage, so it is easy to manage early. Even with timely management, the recurrence rate of this disease is still high compared to other benign tumors. How to treat? 1.Sclerotherapy: Sclerotherapy can be injected into the capsule. This method is relatively easy to operate and causes little damage, and sclerotherapy with little side effects should be chosen. 2.Surgical treatment: For some cases of failure and recurrence of sclerosing agent injection, surgical treatment can be chosen.
