Why shouldn’t Methylprednisolone tablets be taken at night?

The level of hormones in human plasma decreases at night, and taking Methylprednisolone Tablet at night may cause side effects such as sleep disturbance and euphoria, so it is not recommended to take it at night.
Methylprednisolone tablets are systemic corticosteroid drugs and are generally recommended to be taken early in the morning. Because the hormone level in human plasma starts to increase in the morning and peaks at ten in the morning. It then gradually decreases to a minimum at night around ten o’clock.
The use of Methylprednisolone tablets fits into the physiologic curve and therefore is not recommended to be taken at night. Also when the drug is taken at night, neuropsychiatric symptoms such as sleep disturbances and euphoria may occur.
Methylprednisolone tablets, the main ingredient of which is methylprednisolone, can be used for rheumatologic and immunologic diseases, skin diseases, allergic diseases, eye diseases, respiratory diseases and so on. Adverse reactions such as hypertension, muscle weakness, infection and skin atrophy may occur during drug administration. Systemic fungal infections, diabetes, hypertension and methylprednisolone allergy are prohibited.
CAUTION: Corticosteroids may increase susceptibility to infection, may mask some of the symptoms of infection, and new infections may develop during corticosteroid use. Close medical supervision and the shortest possible course of treatment should be used for patients in special risk groups such as children, the elderly, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and a history of psychiatric disorders.
When taking Methylprednisolone Tablets, it is recommended to be under the supervision of a doctor to avoid the risk of medication, and do not take and increase or decrease the dosage privately.
