What is the survival rate for stage Ib lung adenocarcinoma?

Some relevant data show that the 5-year survival rate of lung adenocarcinoma patients in stage Ib is about 70%. Lung adenocarcinoma is a common type of lung cancer, which can be categorized into adenocarcinoma in situ, microinvasive adenocarcinoma and invasive adenocarcinoma. Stage Ib lung adenocarcinoma is equivalent to T2aN0M0 in TNM staging, which represents the largest diameter of the tumor (3~4cm), with no regional lymph node metastasis or distant metastasis. The probability of cure after surgical resection is also higher and the prognosis is better. 70% of patients can survive more than 5 years after active treatment. It should be noted that after active treatment, even if lung adenocarcinoma patients have achieved clinical cure, there is still a probability of recurrence or metastasis, in which case the overall survival rate of the patients will also decrease. Patients are recommended to have active treatment and regular review.
