How long can the hepatitis B virus survive outside the body?

Hepatitis B virus can survive for a long time in a suitable external environment, closely related to the temperature of the environment in which it is located, such as 25 ℃ in the case, can survive in vitro for about 6 months, while about 40 ℃ to survive for 1 week. Hepatitis B virus is an infectious hepatitis B pathogen that exists mainly on the surface of objects and is tolerant to heat, low temperature, dryness, ultraviolet light and general chemical disinfectants. Therefore, hepatitis B virus can survive off-body and survive longer in the outside world. In a -20°C environment, it can survive anywhere from 15-30 years. And in the case of a suitable environment, such as about 25 ℃ room temperature, can survive live for about 6 months. But in the case of high temperature, such as about 100 ℃, can only survive a few hours, or even a few minutes. In addition, hepatitis B virus is sensitive to physical and chemical factors, such as autoclaving, heating at 100℃ for 10 minutes or ethylene oxide, which can inactivate it. Usually after hepatitis B vaccination, patients with high hepatitis B antibody titer have self-protection mechanism and will not be infected with chronic viral hepatitis B.
