Hepatitis B vaccine lasts for several years

Hepatitis B vaccination can stimulate the body to produce surface antibodies to the hepatitis B virus and prevent the tissues and organs from being attacked by the hepatitis B virus, and the effectiveness of the hepatitis B vaccine is generally up to about 5-15 years. After the hepatitis B vaccine is injected into the body, the amount of antibody produced by the body is related to the body’s immune response, and the amount of antibody produced by people with strong immune response is higher, while the amount of antibody produced by the opposite is lower. As the injection time increases, the antibody titer in the body will gradually decrease. When the antibody titer is lower than 10 IU/mL, the vaccine is no longer protective, so the effective time of hepatitis B vaccine varies from person to person. In addition, before the hepatitis B vaccine is given, a blood test must be taken to test the five items of hepatitis B. Only when all five items of hepatitis B are negative can the hepatitis B vaccine be given. After vaccination, patients need to take rest to prevent needle-site infection. The hepatitis B antibody titer should be rechecked every 3-5 years, and the booster shot should be given in time when the antibody concentration is low.
