Recently, patients often ask about regular checkups. Answers are as follows: 1. Hepatitis B virus carriers should be examined once a year; however, those who have a history of hepatitis activity (onset), or have obvious clinical symptoms (fatigue, nausea, dystocia, jaundice, emaciation, etc.), or have alcoholism and family history of cirrhosis or liver cancer, or those who are middle-aged or above should be examined once every 3~6 months. 2. For hepatitis B patients under treatment, the attending physician shall decide the examination interval according to the needs. 3, the examination is preferred to liver function (aminotransferase, bilirubin, protein and other seven items), HBVDNA quantitative and ultrasound, if necessary, add the corresponding other items such as liver fibrosis and cancer indicators (AFP, CEA), etc. There are about 20 million chronic hepatitis B patients in our country at present, and most of them need to be treated. Most of them need treatment. Especially, 1/3 of them may develop into cirrhosis within 15 years, and a considerable part of the latter may develop into hepatocellular carcinoma. Clinical data have proved that liver fibrosis progresses rapidly in the early stage of cirrhosis of hepatitis B, which is the time for urgent treatment. Therefore, it is very important to have a timely checkup to find out the problem and treat it in time.
