If you get your hands on the five tests for hepatitis B and the other items are negative, you are immune to hepatitis B and will not be infected with it. A positive hepatitis B surface antibody is the purpose of the hepatitis B vaccination, which is to produce hepatitis B surface antibodies to stop being infected by the hepatitis B virus. Hepatitis B surface antibodies are protective antibodies and are immune from infection by the hepatitis B virus. The real concern is a positive hepatitis B surface antigen. If the hepatitis B surface antigen is positive it means that you are suffering from hepatitis B virus infection and possibly hepatitis B patients. If you are found to be positive for hepatitis B surface antigen, it is recommended that you go to a regular medical facility to continue testing for hepatitis B viral load and abdominal ultrasound. If the viral load is high and liver function is abnormal, antiviral treatment is recommended.
