Doing electronic laryngoscopy can check for lymphoid follicular hyperplasia in the pharynx, but there is usually no lymph node growth under the mucosa of the pharynx, so electronic laryngoscopy is not used as a routine examination for checking lymph nodes.
Electronic laryngoscope is a commonly used examination equipment in ENT outpatient clinics. The main operation is to gradually penetrate the laryngoscope from the patient’s nasal cavity under surface anesthesia to examine the lesions in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, oropharynx and laryngopharynx, and to understand the scope, degree and nature of the lesions. Treatments and operations such as biopsy and foreign body removal can be performed at the same time as the examination.
Common diseases of the pharynx include chronic pharyngitis, etc. Electron laryngoscopy can visualize the proliferation and hypertrophy of lymphoid follicles in the pharynx. However, there are usually no lymph nodes growing under the mucous membrane of the throat, so e-laryngoscopy is not used as a routine examination of lymph nodes. If further examination of lymph nodes is needed, ultrasound or CT can be used.
