How to treat myopia plus astigmatism in children

Pseudomyopia in children can be treated by rational eye use, topical eye drops such as 0.01% atropine eye drops and other dilated eye medicines. For children with true myopia and astigmatism, no effective treatment has been found, and most of them need to wear eyeglasses and other methods to correct their vision in time. Reasonable eye use includes reducing close reading, correcting poor reading posture, and increasing outdoor activities. Topical eye drops with dilated eye drops can paralyze the ciliary muscle. Both methods can relieve ciliary muscle spasm and effectively treat pseudomyopia. Children with true myopia can consider wearing frames, or functional glasses such as corneal contact lenses or out-of-focus glasses to prevent and control excessive myopia growth. Specific treatments or corrections need to be performed after medical consultation and in accordance with the doctor’s instructions.
