The normal range of fecal leukocytes is 0-3/HPF (per field of view under high magnification), 8-15/HPF suggests elevated leukocytes, and there may be acute enteritis, bacillary dysentery and other diseases, which can be cured after active treatment, and are generally not serious; however, if it is toxic bacillary dysentery, the prognosis is worse, and it is more serious. 1. Acute enteritis: consider the use of montelukast, bifidobacteria, loperamide and other drugs, with dehydration can be rehydration therapy, after effective treatment can be cured, not serious. 2. Bacterial dysentery: after active treatment, most of the patients with bacillary dysentery can be cured within 1 to 2 weeks, which is not serious; however, patients with toxic bacillary dysentery have a poorer prognosis and a higher mortality rate, which is more serious. It is recommended to go to the hospital when there are stool leukocytes 8-15/HPF, and ask the doctor to make a judgment, should not be judged blindly, and drugs should be used in accordance with the doctor’s instructions.
