Are Fractional Lasers Effective in Eliminating White Scars?

Fractional laser has some effect on improving pigment loss in white scars, i.e. pigment loss left after healing of skin lesions, but it is forbidden to use for people with keloidal body. Fractional laser treatment for pigmentation loss also has certain therapeutic effect, mainly through ultra-fine laser light, by stimulating the production of pigment particles in the normal tissues around the pigmentation loss, so as to improve the pigmentation loss. It is only effective for smaller areas of pigmentation loss and often requires multiple treatments, but the pigmentation loss will not disappear completely. However, fractional laser is not suitable for anyone, and is usually prohibited for patients with scarring or suffering from severe diabetes or high blood pressure. Patients with active vitiligo and psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, mental illness, or patients with high expectations of the treatment effect, should not be carried out. It is recommended that patients who are willing to be treated should go to a regular medical institution and undergo fractional laser treatment reasonably after a reasonable assessment by a specialist doctor.
