How to take metformin hydrochloride tablets

The initial dose of metformin hydrochloride tablets is usually 0.25 grams taken once, 2-3 times a day, and the dose can be gradually increased according to the patient’s blood glucose situation until the satisfactory effect of sugar reduction is achieved. The general daily maintenance dose can reach 1-1.5 grams, at most not more than 2 grams per day, taken at the best of three meals, so as to reduce the adverse effects of gastrointestinal function.
