Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae plus Dandelion has the effects of regulating qi, strengthening the spleen, clearing heat and removing toxins, and drying dampness.
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae can regulate qi, strengthen the spleen, dry dampness and resolve phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm). It is used for distention and fullness in the epigastrium (stomach and abdomen), scanty food and vomiting and diarrhea, and cough with profuse phlegm.
Dandelion has the function of clearing heat and removing toxins, subduing swelling and dispersing lumps, inducing dampness and clearing gonorrhea, and can be used in the treatment of carbuncle furuncle, breast carbuncle (a suppurative disease that is characterized by redness, swelling and pain in the breasts, and poor drainage of breast milk), jaundice due to dampness-heat, heat gonorrhea (a burning and stinging pain in the urine, accompanied by frequent urination, urgency of urination, and discomfort of pulling in the abdomen), astringent pain and other diseases.
When combined with dandelion, the effects of tangerine peel include regulating qi and strengthening the spleen, clearing heat and removing toxins, drying dampness, subduing swellings and dispersing lumps, which is helpful in improving or treating stagnation of qi in the spleen and stomach, carbuncle and furuncle, damp-heat jaundice, and heat drenching and astringent pain. It should be noted that Chenpi is pungent, bitter and dry, and its warmth can help heat, so it should be used with caution for those who have solid internal heat and a red tongue with little fluid. Dandelion can lead to diarrhea if used in excess.
It is worth reminding that the use of Chinese herbs alone or in combination is recommended under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, do not blindly use their own medication.
