What’s wrong with the pain in my right chest when I dance?

The causes of right chest pain while dancing are physiologic and pathologic, and the pathologic causes include costochondritis, angina pectoris, pneumothorax, and so on. 1. Physiological factors: long-term mental stress, anxiety and depression, sleep deprivation, dancing posture is not correct, etc., may lead to dancing pain in the right chest. This kind of pain is generally mild, and the symptoms can be effectively relieved or disappear on their own after proper physical exercise, good habits of work and rest, and timely adjustment of dance movements. 2. Pathological factors (1) Costochondritis: mostly caused by non-infectious factors, manifested as chest pain and pressure pain, caused by infectious factors may also appear local skin redness, swelling, heat and pain. Activity or exertion can trigger or aggravate the pain, which is manifested as right chest pain when dancing. (2) Angina pectoris: patients with coronary artery disease because of coronary artery stenosis and occlusion, during exercise because of myocardial ischemia, chest pain often occurs, which can be manifested as pain in the right chest when dancing, which can last for several minutes, and the pain can be relieved and disappear after resting or taking nitroglycerin. (3) Pneumothorax: When dancing, because of excessive movement amplitude and other reasons, patients who have previously suffered from pulmonary blisters, emphysema and other underlying lung diseases may have a pneumothorax on the right side, which leads to right chest pain. When patients experience right chest pain while dancing, they should pay attention to it, and if the pain worsens or continues to be unrelieved, they should go to the hospital in time.
