The management plan for new coronavirus-positive patients is mainly rapid transport and isolation, active antiviral treatment, and focused screening of patients in the close and sub-close population.
At this stage, most of the new coronavirus-positive patients in China are mildly or asymptomatically infected, and the disposition plan for positive patients is somewhat different from that of the past. Most of the asymptomatic infected patients are mainly managed in isolation with regular monitoring and follow-up. In isolation, each person has a room, and the patients’ daily necessities are treated according to the principle of running medical waste.
For new crown-positive mild cases, they are sent to local sentinel hospitals or square cabin hospitals for oral drug treatment, and moderate to severe cases need to be treated in the infectious disease special ward of sentinel hospitals for systematic and standardized treatment. Specific isolation and treatment locations are in accordance with local policies.
In addition to isolation and treatment of new crown-positive patients, close contacts and indirect contacts of new crown-positive patients should be screened with emphasis, and a precise prevention and control policy should be adopted. The public places involved in the patient’s living quarters, units, and whereabouts tracks should be comprehensively sealed and controlled and treated with full disinfection and sterilization.
