Devon Valsartan Capsules is an angiotensin receptor antagonist, anti-hypertensive drug. The drug acts to close the receptors of angiotensin, which increases the plasma levels of angiotensin and stimulates the unclosed receptors, while resisting the receptor action, thus achieving vasodilation and lowering blood pressure. It is also used for the treatment of congestive heart failure, hypertension, and post-myocardial infarction. The Chinese name of this product is Valsartan, and the generic name is Dynavin. Appearance and properties are white crystals or white inner powder, extremely soluble in ethanol, easily tolerated in methanol, almost insoluble in water.
