Post-discharge precautions for anal patients

1. Regulate diet. Appropriate nutrition, drink more water, eat more vegetables, fruits and coarse grains and other laxative foods, avoid eating chili peppers, mustard, wine and greasy and other stimulating foods. 2, regular work and rest. Appropriate activities to enhance the body’s resistance, but avoid strenuous exercise. Avoid increasing abdominal pressure, avoiding strong weight bearing, straining to defecate, sedentary, standing, squatting and straining. 3, to avoid local stimulation of the anus. The toilet paper should be soft, do not wear tight clothes and pants and hard, rough underwear. 4, keep clean. Keep the anus and perineum clean and dry, clean the anus after bowel movement; wear cotton and other easy to breathe clothes and pants, change underwear frequently. 5.Sit-bath. Postoperative anal trauma, especially perianal abscess, anal fistula and other large trauma, should be regularly 40 ℃ warm water sitz bath, according to the amount of secretion to decide the number of sitz bath, keep the anus clean, dry, until the wound is completely healed. 6, strengthen the anal function exercise: (two weeks after surgery to do anal lifting exercise) deep breathing and contraction of the anus for 5 seconds, deep exhalation and relaxation of the anus for 5 seconds, each time for 5-10 minutes, 2-3 times a day, lifting the anus exercise can strengthen the sphincter contraction function, improve local blood circulation. 7, keep the bowel movement, develop a good habit of regular defecation. If you have difficulty in defecation, you can massage your abdomen clockwise around the umbilicus, 3 times a day or more, 20-30 times each time. If you still have difficulty in defecation, you can bring your own corkscrew to stop the bowel movement, or come to the hospital in time for review and treatment by the doctor. 8, postoperative wound dressing is the key to the success of the operation. After being discharged from the hospital, anal surgery patients still need to return to the hospital regularly to change the medicine, so that the doctor can check the wound condition and deal with the abnormalities in the growth of the wound in a timely manner until the wound is healed. If you are unable to return to the hospital to change the medicine due to personal reasons, you can change the medicine at the anorectal department of the local hospital or by the doctor who has the knowledge of anorectal specialties. 9.If you have any underlying disease (hypertension, diabetes, etc.), please actively cooperate with the relevant medication to avoid affecting the wound healing. 10, there is discomfort when the follow-up (such as anal pain should be timely consultation, such as too dry stool, repeated defecation, defecation difficulties to return to the hospital; such as excessive bleeding in the stool need to be timely consultation). 11, follow the doctor’s advice to continue to use drugs outside the hospital, come to the hospital regularly for review.
