What are the symptoms of UTI in men

Male urethritis is mainly divided into gonococcal and non-gonococcal, and its symptoms are different, the common symptoms are mainly urethral itching, painful urination, urethral discharge and so on.
1. Gonococcal urethritis: gonococcal acute infection, after 2 to 5 days incubation period onset. At the initial stage of infection, the patient’s urethral mucosa is red, swollen, itchy and slightly tingling. The urethra discharges a large amount of purulent discharge and urinary discomfort.
The development of the disease can make the mucosal erythema extend to the entire anterior urethra, penile swelling, urinary frequency, urgency, urinary pain is obvious, sometimes visible hematuria. The inguinal lymph nodes on both sides show acute inflammatory reaction.
Some patients can be secondary to acute posterior urethritis, prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis and epididymitis; untreated can form chronic gonococcal urethritis; repeated episodes can also cause inflammatory urethral stenosis.
2. Non-gonococcal urethritis: manifested as urethral itching, painful urination and secretion of a small amount of white thin liquid, sometimes only for the scab seal or crotch dirt, common in the morning. In men, the infection can invade the epididymis causing acute epididymitis, which can also lead to male infertility.
