Kidney cancer grade 1 is not early stage, and grading and staging of kidney cancer are not the same concept. Kidney cancer grading determines the degree of differentiation of cancer cells, while kidney cancer staging looks at whether the cancer cells have invaded and metastasized to surrounding tissues, lymph nodes and distant organs. Kidney cancer grading is usually classified by the size and shape of cell nucleus and whether the nucleolus is obvious or not, and it can be divided into Grade I, Grade II, Grade III and Grade IV. Grade I and Grade II represent the high degree of differentiation of the cancer cells with good prognosis, Grade III has medium degree of differentiation of the tumor cells, and Grade IV has low degree of differentiation of the tumor cells with poor prognosis. And the staging of kidney cancer can be divided into early kidney cancer, intermediate kidney cancer and advanced kidney cancer. Early stage kidney cancer refers to kidney cancer that is confined within the kidney and has not invaded the tissues around the kidney; intermediate stage kidney cancer refers to kidney cancer that has invaded the adrenal glands, tissues around the kidney and blood vessels, with lymph node metastasis; and advanced stage kidney cancer refers to kidney cancer that has exceeded the perinephric fascia, with lymph node metastasis or distant metastasis. Kidney cancer grading is not staging, if diagnosed as grade I kidney cancer, please follow the doctor’s prescription for treatment.
