Washing local psoriasis lesions with salt and water is not a good treatment for psoriasis patients. Washing with salt may irritate the psoriatic lesions and cause them to appear worse. Sea salt baths are also used clinically to treat psoriasis, but attention should be paid to the method of use and the interval period. Patients with psoriasis should cleanse diligently, but do not scrub excessively hard for patients with erythrodermic psoriasis. Patients with psoriasis must choose the appropriate treatment.
