How much hcg is normal for pregnancy

In clinical practice, a blood test for HCG greater than 10 mIU/mL indicates pregnancy. Whether the pregnancy is intrauterine or ectopic, or a biochemical pregnancy, further monitoring of the blood HCG is required and another blood test will be taken every other day. If the blood HCG doubles from the original level, it indicates an intrauterine pregnancy. If it rises only a little, it may be an ectopic pregnancy. If it does not increase but decreases, it may be a biochemical pregnancy. Therefore, it is not considered normal by the amount of blood HCG, but by whether the blood HCG doubles every other day. It is recommended to check the location of the gestational sac by ultrasound at about 45 days after menopause.
