It is mainly used in the treatment of hepatitis B chronic hepatitis with liver depression and deficiency of the spleen, stagnation of qi and stasis of the blood (stagnation of blood due to the lack of qi flow) and internalization of dampness and heat. Shu Liver and Elimination of Blood Stasis Pill, which is composed of neem, poria, angelica, chaihu and inulin, is effective in dispersing the liver and strengthening the spleen, regulating the flow of qi to eliminate blood stasis and clearing away heat and removing dampness. It is mainly used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B with symptoms of Qi stagnation and blood stasis, liver depression and spleen deficiency, and internal dampness-heat syndrome, in which patients usually present with symptoms of dystocia (pain in the area of the ribs), nausea and vomiting, anorexia of greasy food, and epigastric distention and stuffiness (the feeling of flatulence in the abdomen and discomfort). Adverse reactions to Shu Liver and Eliminate Accumulation Pill are not known. It is contraindicated in pregnant women.
