Rheumatoid arthritis is called “paralysis” in Chinese medicine, and belongs to the category of “calendar joints”.
Chinese medicine believes that this disease is mostly due to the lack of innate endowment (innate physical and functional), improper labor and leisure, loss of vital energy, wind, cold, dampness, heat and other external evils to take advantage of the weakness, paralysis and blockage of the meridians and joints, resulting in the poor functioning of qi and blood, meridian stagnation, stagnant qi stagnation, fluid stagnation for phlegm, stasis and phlegm and turbid stagnant meridians and channels, deep into the joints and tendons, or even harm the internal organs.
Clinically, the disease starts slowly and insidiously, often accompanied by morning stiffness, low fever, or high fever, fatigue, anemia, general malaise, weight loss and other symptoms, and then gradually develops typical joint symptoms.
If patients experience morning stiffness, joint swelling and other symptoms, it is recommended that they go to a regular hospital for timely examination to avoid delaying their condition, and should not use medication on their own to avoid damaging the organism.
