Herpes zoster does not have blisters. In mild cases, herpes zoster will manifest itself without typical blisters, manifesting itself on one limb, or on the head, face, or extremities, appearing as red bumps piled up together on top of an erythematous base, with no blisters on top of the bumps, which is how herpes zoster behaves when the rash is mild. Because the herpes zoster virus, when the body is relatively resistant, does not easily cause localized skin destruction and does not react with very strong skin inflammation. Therefore, it only manifests as localized erythema and bumps, but cannot manifest as blisters.
