Sclerofibromas are benign tumors through histology, but are locally aggressive, have no envelope, and may become fibrosarcomas, which are malignant. Sclerofibroma, also known as ligament-like tumor, is a rare benign overgrowth of the tendon membrane. It occurs in areas of muscle, tendon and deep fascia and is very hard. It is mostly found in the abdominal wall. Sclerofibroma occurs in the 30s and 50s, mostly in women, and is also found in adolescents. The cause of the disease is unknown and may be related to trauma, pregnancy, surgery and generalized connective tissue abnormalities. During pregnancy, due to the increase of estrogen in the blood and possible damage to the abdominal wall during delivery, this may be the reason why sclerofibromas are more prevalent in adult women. It is recommended that a hospital visit be made to standardize the examination and treatment.
