Poor gastric drive should refer to the weakness of the spleen and stomach in traditional Chinese medicine, which can be regulated by taking medicines such as Gastric Enhancement and Elimination Tablets, Xiangsha Nourishing Stomach Granules, and Ginseng Ling Baijusan. 1. Stomach Enhancement and Elimination of Food Tablets: composed of Radix Panax Ginseng, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Rhizoma Coptidis Macrocephalae, Rhizoma Coptidis Macrocephalae, and Hawthorn. It is used for food stagnation (the accumulation of food in the stomach due to indigestion) caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach, with symptoms such as not thinking about food, belching and sour odor, and fullness of the epigastrium (abdomen); dyspepsia with the above symptoms. Diet should be light, avoid alcohol and spicy, cold and greasy food.
2. Xiangsha Nourishing Stomach Granules: composed of wood incense, sand nuts, atractylodes, etc. It is used for stomach yang insufficiency, dampness blocking qi. It is used for stomach pain and plumpness (stomach distension and discomfort) caused by stomach yang insufficiency and dampness obstruction and gas stagnation, which is characterized by vague stomach pain, stuffy and uncomfortable epigastric region, vomiting of acid, noisy (stomach feeling similar to hunger, emptiness with burning) discomfort, lack of appetite, and fatigue of the limbs. Avoid cold and greasy food during the period of consumption.
3. Ginseng, Poria, Atractylodes Macrocephalae (fried), Chinese yam, white lentil (fried), lotus seed, Coix Seed (fried) and other components. It has the effect of tonifying the spleen and stomach and benefiting the lung qi. It is used in treating loose stools caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach, shortness of breath and cough, tiredness and fatigue. It is not suitable for patients with fever and cold.
