It can be manifested as localized edema, redness and pain of the skin of the ear canal. When the sebaceous glands of the skin are blocked, with the gradual increase of secretion in the ear canal, which in turn can be manifested as ear swelling and pain. 2. Acute secretory otitis media: often secondary to upper respiratory tract infections, which can lead to oozing of cellulose, protein and plasma from the middle ear, resulting in increased tension in the tympanic membrane, causing ear swelling and pain. 3. Acute suppurative otitis media: it can cause acute congestion of the tympanic membrane, which in turn leads to increased tension in the tympanic membrane. With the increase of purulent secretion in the middle ear, it can further increase the pressure in the ear, and cause swelling and pain in the ear. When the tympanic membrane is perforated, the pain will decrease.
