Fetal heart ultrasound is necessary

Recently, there are often questions about whether echocardiography is harmful to the fetus. Will the heat emitted by the ultrasound probe affect fetal growth? There are no international findings that echocardiography testing is detrimental to the fetus. Refinement of the test is the same for fetal heart problems as it is for adults taking medication to treat them, and the patient can benefit most through accurate diagnosis and proper perinatal management. The fetal heart is very small and technically difficult to diagnose and treat. Fetal cardiac ultrasound is the only effective diagnostic modality in prenatal diagnosis, which has positive implications for eugenic selection and timely fetal assistance after birth. In the case of fetal congenital pulmonary atresia, for example, echocardiography is able to diagnose the disease and guide the clinic in giving a perinatal management plan. If the fetus is determined to be viable in utero, the pregnant woman needs to continue the pregnancy with follow-up echocardiographic evaluation every 3-4 weeks, and also non-invasive DNA and amniocentesis in conjunction with the specific gestational week. If the pregnancy is terminated, this needs to be done before 28 weeks and a good preconception test is recommended for the next pregnancy. Amniocentesis is done between 16-22 weeks of gestation, fetal echocardiography is done between 20-22 weeks, oral folic acid is reinforced, and obstetrical medical advice is followed. Before birth, a hospital with a neonatal care unit and cardiac surgery is required for delivery, and prostaglandins are applied immediately after birth to keep the ductus arteriosus open. Afterwards, a surgical plan will be developed based on the results of imaging, echocardiography and other ancillary tests. With the full liberalization of the two-child policy, there will be a wave of births, and for a large wave of pregnant women of advanced age, the probability of fetal heart disease in pregnancy is twice as high as that of ordinary pregnant women, so it is necessary to increase the fetal heart ultrasound examination.
