Iodophor can cure papular urticaria

Papular urticaria is an allergic skin disease that occurs in infants and children, and is most common in spring and autumn. Nowadays, as the climate warms up, more and more children visit the dermatology department. The disease mainly manifests itself as red, wind-like elevations, the size of a soybean to peanut rice, which can appear as tense blisters with scratching due to severe itching. In the past, oral antihistamines and topical glycolic lotion were used to relieve itching, but some parents reported that their children still felt itchy after applying the drug. However, some parents reported that their children still felt itchy after applying this medicine. The effect of treating this disease with iodophor is satisfactory. Iodophor is a topical disinfectant, containing 0.1% to 1% effective iodine, with bactericidal power and antibacterial spectrum comparable to that of iodine, which is odorless, non-allergenic and less irritating to the skin. It has the advantages of light yellowing and easy cleaning after application, and can also be used for disinfection of mucous membrane areas due to its low corrosiveness. The mechanism of iodophor treatment is that it inhibits the exudation of inflammatory substances, thus reducing the irritation to the skin. In comparison, iodophor is widely available, inexpensive, effective, painless, and easily accepted by the child. The itching disappears quickly after application and the skin heals quickly, which is worth promoting in the treatment of the disease.
