Treatment for acne on the face includes developing good living habits, medication, physical therapy and so on.
1. Good living habits: avoid staying up late, work and rest regularly, eat less high sugar and high fat food and dairy products, drink more water, eat more vegetables and fruits, etc., choose the right skin cleansing products, maintain facial cleanliness and hygiene, choose cosmetics that do not clog pores, and remove make-up in time.
2. Medications: Topical medications such as adapalene, retinoic acid cream and other retinoids can be used to unclog pores and reduce oil; antibacterial medications such as benzoyl peroxide gel can be used to kill Propionibacterium acnes; and antiandrogenic drugs such as oral contraceptives can be used in acne caused by androgen excess. All of the above medicines should be used under the supervision of a doctor.
3. Physical methods: If acne is more serious, photodynamic therapy can be used to inhibit P. acnes and reduce the inflammatory reaction, and if acne scars are left behind in the later stages, laser can be used to get rid of them.
Do not squeeze the acne on your face to avoid local infection or other serious conditions, and if you need to use medication, you should use it under the guidance of a physician.
