Do hepatitis B patients with normal liver function need treatment?

Patients with hepatitis B need to have ultrasonography of the liver, hepatitis B virus DNA test, liver function test, and methemoglobin test at least once a year, even if the liver function is normal. If all of the above are not problematic, treatment may not be needed for the time being. However, if the patient has an obvious family history of cirrhosis or liver cancer, or has obvious signs of liver inflammation and fibrosis, and is over 30 years old, even if the liver function is normal, if the DNA index is high, antiviral treatment is needed to prevent the occurrence of cirrhosis and liver cancer.
