In the case of tympanic membrane perforation, fresh vegetables and fruits can be consumed, as they are rich in vitamins that are beneficial to the healing of the mucosa. Reduce the consumption of seafood such as fish and shrimp, as some of these foods contain substances that can affect the coagulation function and thus inhibit the growth of the wound, and in some cases may aggravate the infection. For tympanic membrane perforations caused by inflammatory infections, non-otoxic antibiotics should be applied in a timely manner to control the infection and to promote ventilation and drainage of the middle ear, which in most cases can gradually heal after the infection is controlled. For traumatic tympanic membrane perforation, care should be taken to keep the external ear canal clean and dry to prevent infection, avoid using ear drops or any liquid drops, avoid forceful nose blowing and prevent colds, and the perforation will gradually heal in 3-4 weeks in most cases.
