Causes of high partial thromboplastin time

There is no such thing as partial thromboplastin time, it should be partial thromboplastin time. The common causes of long partial thromboplastin time are drug factors such as taking aspirin and clopidogrel, and disease factors such as liver and hematologic disorders.
Partial thromboplastin time is the body’s endogenous coagulation system, the main reflection of the index, the growth of time is between 31 seconds to 43 seconds, when greater than 53 seconds to become part of the thromboplastin time prolongation.
1. Drugs: patients themselves due to the existence of coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction, long-term oral antiplatelet aggregation drugs aspirin, clopidogrel, tegretol lead to their own coagulation function abnormality, as well as the patients take some anticoagulants such as warfarin, rivaroxaban, dabigatran, leading to the patients’ own prolongation of partial thromboplastin time.
2. Disease: The patient himself due to the existence of liver function abnormality, resulting in the reduction of coagulation factor production, which can cause the prolongation of partial thromboplastin time, as well as the existence of the patient’s own hematologic diseases, such as hemophilia and disseminated intravascular coagulation can lead to the prolongation of partial thromboplastin time.
Prolonged prothrombin time can be diagnosed and treated in hospitals.
