Whether a hemiplegic patient can ride a tricycle depends on the severity of the condition and rehabilitation. If the patient’s condition is less severe, rehabilitation is better, has stronger limb muscle strength, higher balance and coordination ability, possesses stronger core stability, and is sufficient to support the hemiplegic patient to ride on the tricycle, the patient can ride the tricycle, but the patient’s safety should be ensured. If the patient’s condition is of a more severe degree and temporarily does not possess strong quadriplegic muscle strength, balance, coordination and core stability, which are insufficient to support the patient’s riding on a tricycle, further active rehabilitation is required. Whether hemiplegic patients can ride tricycles or not is recommended to be chosen by the patients under the advice of the doctor after a comprehensive assessment in a regular hospital.
