Location of colic

If the pain is around the navel, consider small bowel lesions, such as small bowel obstruction and small bowel inflammation. If the pain is in the right abdomen, consider ascending colon lesions, such as tumors and intestinal obstruction. If the pain is below the navel, consider rectal lesions, such as constipated patients with rectal spasm and obstruction of the outlet, resulting in difficult bowel movements. If colic occurs in the left upper or lower left abdomen, it is considered to be a lesion of the descending colon or sigmoid colon, such as acute inflammation or obstruction.
