The main component of the yellow gauze type is ezacrine, which can be applied on the surface of the wound or filled in the middle of the wound. It is a disinfectant and antiseptic that can kill bacteria, fungi and spores. For wounds that are not infected, yellow gauze can be applied to the surface of the wound after dressing change, thus isolating any bacterial infection that may occur inside the wound. For infected wounds, the sutures should be removed from the wound surface, the necrotic tissue and infected fluid should be removed from the wound, and then the wound should be filled with yellow gauze to facilitate drainage. The yellow gauze strips also stimulate the growth of granulation tissue and promote wound healing.
