How many years can you live with jaundice?

The survival period of jaundice hepatitis is related to the specific cause, severity of the disease, treatment and physical factors, which varies from person to person and cannot be generalized. If the patient has mild symptoms of jaundice hepatitis and the liver damage is not serious, a cure can be achieved without affecting the survival period after active treatment and timely removal of the cause. In case of severe jaundiced hepatitis with significantly increased serum bilirubin, the condition may deteriorate within a short period of time or even develop acute fulminant hepatitis or develop liver failure, which may be life-threatening and some survival periods may be only a few months. Therefore, once jaundice hepatitis is detected, relevant tests should be improved as soon as possible and liver protection and anti-yellowing treatment should be actively carried out. During treatment, patients should take more rest, eat a light diet, avoid spicy, stimulating and greasy foods, eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, and eat high-protein foods in moderation.
