What’s between the breasts?

The location between the two breasts is the sternum, the back of the sternum, including the mediastinum, which contains the trachea, esophagus and the aorta. If there is pain or foreign body sensation between the two chests, it may be mediastinal tumor, and mediastinal tumor will lead to local compression symptoms when it grows up, which may cause pain and difficulty in eating. If necessary, chest CT examination will be performed to clarify the situation, and if there is mediastinal tumor, surgical resection will be considered as a general rule. If the patient has esophageal cancer, it may show localized narrowing of esophagus, difficulty in swallowing and choking sensation. Generally speaking, ordinary food will be changed in the early stage, and choking may occur in the advanced stage of the tumor when eating semi-fluid food or fluid food. If necessary, barium meal or gastroscopy should be performed to clarify the situation. After clarification, if surgery is possible, surgical resection should be performed; if surgery is not possible, a stent should be placed in the esophagus.
