How to see an X-ray of spinal stenosis

Imaging of spinal stenosis generally uses lateral and oblique spine films to examine the intervertebral foramen; CT to understand the intervertebral discs; and MRI to examine the spinal cord and intervertebral discs. There are nerves and cervical arteries passing through the intervertebral foramen, and compression of nerves and blood vessels after foraminal stenosis will cause corresponding neurological lesions. Symptoms such as hand numbness, arm paralysis, change in blood pressure, and lack of blood supply to the brain may occur. If these symptoms occur, an X-ray or CT examination is recommended, and the examination results need to be read by the attending physician to determine the lesion and treatment modality.
