What is spinal fasciitis?

The term spinal fasciitis is not accurate enough, it should refer to fasciitis of the soft tissues around the spine, which may be caused by prolonged bowing of the head, bending of the waist or prolonged exertion, etc. It leads to aseptic inflammation of the muscles, fascia, ligaments and other tissues on both sides of the spine, which in turn causes a series of symptoms such as pain in the lumbar and back and limitation of activities. Due to long-term labor, long-term repeated friction, pulling and trauma, etc., the attached ligaments, fascia, muscles and other soft tissues of the spine develop aseptic inflammation, edema and other changes, which can cause local pain, swelling, restriction of flexion and extension of the spine, and in the long run, it can lead to local rigidity and adhesion of the spine, which seriously affects the daily life. Therefore, peripheral spinal myofasciitis should be diagnosed in time, and standardized treatment should be carried out as soon as possible according to the doctor’s instructions, in order to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
