Vascular tinnitus is also known as pulsatile tinnitus and is mostly subjective. It can be diagnosed by pure tone audiometer, electromyography, X-ray angiography, CT and other tests.
1. Pure tone audiometer: It can mainly check the intensity and frequency of tinnitus according to the method of frequency matching and loudness balancing, and if necessary, it can use hearing aids or stethoscopes to carry out auxiliary examination.
2. Electromyography: If palatal myoclonus is suspected, electrodes can be placed in the muscles to record the relationship between muscle activity and tinnitus.
3. X-ray angiography: It is mainly to assist in checking whether there are malformations of blood vessels such as vascular fistulae and abnormal distribution of blood vessels.
4. CT: It can assist in checking whether there are bone growths compressing the blood vessels, whether there are intracranial lesions, and so on.
If you suffer from vascular tinnitus, you should seek medical treatment in time.
