An HDL of 0.83 is considered to be 0.83 mmol/L and medication is not recommended. HDL is a serum protein composed of lipids, proteins and regulatory factors, which can promote cholesterol metabolism by converting cholesterol into bile acids or excreting it directly from bile into the intestines. Therefore, HDL can be used as a preventive factor for atherosclerosis. The normal reference value of HDL is 0.7 to 2.0mmol/L, so HDL 0.83mmol/L is in the normal range, and medication is not recommended. It is recommended to have a light diet, take less cold, greasy, fried and barbecued food, avoid smoking and alcohol, take proper exercise and review the blood lipids and other items on a regular basis.
