Spasticity is a symptom of velocity-dependent increased muscle tone that occurs as a result of upper motor neuron injury. It is mostly seen in stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and multiple sclerosis, etc. It seriously affects the patient’s functional activities and quality of life, and without timely management, it can lead to contracture of local joints, resulting in irreversible pathological changes. In recent years, the Department of Physical Therapy has used a variety of integrated means to deal with spasticity, accumulating rich experience and achieving good results. The treatment methods include physical therapy, rehabilitation training, brace therapy, oral medication, botulinum toxin injection therapy, etc. Pain in the musculoskeletal system is a common and frequent disease, the highest incidence of chronic pain, which seriously affects the health of the majority of patients. It is mostly seen in diseases such as cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow and various sports injuries. The treatment methods of the physical therapy department include traditional physical therapy (electrotherapy, magnetotherapy and phototherapy, etc.), and the newly developed focused ultrasound treatment for soft tissue pain has achieved satisfactory clinical results, while the ultrasound-guided injection therapy carried out in recent years is a kind of visualized precise treatment, which greatly improves the accuracy of treatment for musculoskeletal pain.
